Topic of the month – Leather and Education
There was a time when Leather education meant joining a house, working your way up through that house, learning about leather from the people in that house, and often a very personal interaction and learning process.
This path might include earning one’s leathers, learning about leather history, and volunteering in one’s community.
But today’s Leather community members often take a very different approach. So how do we, as a community, structure education in leather in today’s society? What is the new path for education in Leather? Is it conferences and events? Small group outreach? Individual one-on-one? How do we promote Education?
