HPEP Switches Monthly Munch

Regular monthly meeting of people who do S-M play or enjoy D/s relationships from both directions, and those who are curious about it.
Discussions of topics, arguments, chit chat, rediculous hilarity, and maybe some horseplay if we have time.
There will be a Houston Higher Protocol meeting going on from 1pm until 3pm in the room, if you want to come early for that.
It sounds interesting.
Someone asked about a switch couple sharing a toy bag or each having their own (and about a couple sharing a sub), and we can cover that.
But it made me think… if you switch in play, you probably have Topping toys.
However, do you bottom to someone else’s bag, your own toys, or blend them depending on the scene ?
I demo-bottom for my new toys, usually before I use them on someone, but there are several in my bag that I would not look forward to bottoming for in a real scene.
When Topping, I am good with using a bottom’s toy, as well as my own. When bottoming as a mentor, or in an insta-switch scene (criss-cross) or round-robin, I’m very careful about what play partners want to bring into the scene. When bottoming as a gift, I usually know what they want to do.
Do you prefer to be tied with your own rope ? Do you ever tie with your bottom’s rope ?
Does it concern you about where or on whom a Top’s toys were last used ?
And what about sharing human toys ? Do you think about what their last Top did, or if you can do as well ? Or what your Top’s last bottom and scene was like ? Do you ever try to duplicate a past scene for someone ?
